Introduction
This research paper will discuss that why did the Europeans and Americans turn to Africa for Slave Trade. Western Europeans treated blacks as many of the goods from the 1600s to 1900s century. They would look for black slaves in their country of origin in Africa, sold them in America cons of tropical products such as sugar, coffee, cocoa and cotton. These products were been brought back to Europe. This trade took place in three steps i.e. Europe, Africa and America, and also known as the Atlantic slave trade. From 1600s to 1900s centuries, around 11 million slaves were being transported from Africa to America by Europeans. Jordan in his book clearly revealed that the main European countries that participated in the transatlantic slave trade were Portugal with about 5 million slaves, Great Britain with about 3 million slaves and France with just under 1.5 million slaves deported. The slave trade was developed because of the development of plantations of tropical products. Indeed, it took lot of manpower to work in plantations growing.
Moreover, trade and transport of slaves called the slave trade. Usually Europeans bought those African slaves those were imprisoned in the wars of tribes. Rodney said that in late 18th century, the Atlantic slave trade was in its peak as the largest number of slaves was imprisoned in the attack of shipments within West Africa Coastal African kingdoms. Europeans hardly integrated within Africa because of the fear of disease and also due to the violent African confrontation cases deliberate sponsorship of benefiting Western European nations. In Africa, criminals could be punished for the dependence and European asked for slaves, this punishment became more frequent. Europeans used eight areas for buying and shipping slaves from the western hemisphere around 10.24 million African slaves were arrived in America.
Slavery has significantly influenced and shaped the political, social and economic development of America. Slave holders were not inherently wicked; rather, the slave scheme cultured them to be unusually dictatorial. The racial and ethnic discrimination brought about by slavery parties divided people of the nation and social developments of the country largely face the issue of discriminations brought about by slavery. However, few political and social figures stood against this inhuman justice and brought major legislative reforms to save future generations of America from a silent storm of national destruction, as a consequence of slavery.
