Introduction

African Americans have assisted in United States Armed Forces in every war, from Revolutionary War to present day War on Terrorism. Historically, African Americans have assisted their homeland valiantly in every conflict. They disregarded racial injustices and battled for freedoms in other nations that they were refuted at dwelling in wants of being treated identically upon their return.

One Army Division in specific has been seen the failure in WWI and WWII. The 92nd infantry Division was an all black infantry division with black requested officers at platoon grades but commanded by whites from business grade and up. There were the couple of black colonels in officer ranks. The 92nd was commanded by Major General Edward M. Almond the Virginia Military Institute graduate who was nominated by young individual VMI alum General George C. Marshall.
