Introduction

The word western represents the traditional culture of ancient times that began in Greece and Rome in the aforementioned context, existed through out the collapse of Roman Empire and gradually covered the regions of western and northern Europe and subsequently covered the areas of America, Australia, Asia and Africa from 15th to 19th century. Today this western culture is visible in political, economical, and military exercise of these regions. The western way of war is dangerous mainly because it is seldom shaped by norms, traditions, culture, or religion rather than military powers.

The western culture gave birth to this unique course of strictness, determination and absolute technical excellence in the field of killing, which was evident amongst Europeans in their industrial methodology that involved slaughtering in form of tribal murders. These tribes were expert in murdering bravely, looting and fighting on vast fields. The art of war can be seen in December 1941 when Britain were on ropes, Nazis were gathered around the Moscow, Japanese engaged in air fights around Hawaii. These battles showed the stance of reasons and patterns of killings of people by west, which can't be remained, unnoticed or hidden.

The heavily loaded destructive weapons and fiery arms were manufactured and produced greatly in good quality and huge quantity in European countries as compare to non Western countries. These arms were introduced as a result of involvement and birth of rationality, equality, freedom, and spread of knowledge in the early period of western culture i.e. traditional ancient times and its presence was evident in almost all European history. The fiery weapons were revolutionized along with Medieval Japan.

Discussion

Victor Davis Hanson in his book the Western way of war stated that the western concept of war was emerged during the ancient times of Greeks as a result of westernized political culture that emphasized on the powers to be remained in the hands of the nation's citizens, the activities of western welfare and the significant infantry war. The author has focused on the dangerous, harmful and destructive tactics of war practiced amongst individuals of Greeks during 5th century B.C. The western culture of war has been emerged from variety of resources prevailing in the western culture during those times such as Greek poetry, dramas, and art if painting inclusive of antique histories that drew the condition and situation of the frontline.

The author has for the first time conducted this research in the history so far that focuses on the real activities and process of war field during times of ancient Greeks with respect to vantage perspective of fighters or infantryman as referred in text, their hardships during fights in form of weighty bronze armor that caused difficulty in keeping constant focus due to lack of visibility, audibility, and movability and most significantly the presence of fear faced by them.
