Executive Summary

The weekly work report is basically designed to gauge the different task that any individual do on the weekly basis. This report will also give a brief overview about the different individual task and role that any individuals perform on daily basis as well. As an Assistant Liaison Manager in a MNC, my duties and roles vary in different activities that I do. In my Point of view, the company is over staff but still I am under so much workload, this may be because of the inefficient distribution of work/ division of labour across the organization. The Company needs to do the 'Process Engineering' as soon as possible. Process Re-engineering is necessary because there is an overlapping job description of different peoples and they don't seem to know who is to do what. Introduction

The weekly work report is basically designed to gauge the different task that any individual do on the weekly basis. This report will also give a brief overview about the different individual task and role that any individuals perform on daily basis as well. This report can serve many purposes, which includes many long term and short term objectives. First of all, this report will help the strategic level management in designing a well crafted job description and job specification. Similarly, it also allows a better mechanism to efficiently do the division of labour.

The activities report will serve as a powerful tool for the management to better plan coordinate and manage different resources of the firm. The resource of the firm includes physical, human, tacit and other resources that any firm or company possess.

Discussion

As an Assistant Liaison Manager in a MNC, my duties and roles vary in different activities that I do. I have constructed the following weekly work report, so that I can give the upper management a brief overview of my task and responsibilities.

Monday

On Monday, I called a meeting of my team and discuss matters like what should we do to foster the company's image as far as Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is concerned. The meeting was of 5hours long, the meeting was a more like a brainstorming session to crack idea about what should we do in pursuit of CSR and have a more favourable public image of the company. In the meeting, I was the facilitator in that particular meeting, firstly everyone gives their idea which was written on a white board and then each idea was discussed in the detail. When the meeting was over, we had a good strategy about how we should go about this CSR factor. After the 5 hours meeting, I took a 1hour break for lunch and then I had to go to meet the representatives of a famous publication, who was interested to write an interview of our company CEO in his magazine.
