The main idea of this research project is the scrutinizing of the increase in the online identity theft. The projects also looks at the topic that how it can be controlled to minimize its consequences to the victims. Online identity theft is an offense in which the criminals impersonate and imitate the people, commonly for the financial purposes. If an online identity thief is able in accessing the personal information and data of an individual then the thief can use the information for frauds and can commit crime using the individual's name.
