Homeland security is a serious concern for any government. This is particularly true for countries that have faced the devastating effects of coordinated terrorist attacks on their soil. The first post identifies gaping loopholes in the intelligence sharing among intelligence agencies, particularly the FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigation and other intelligence agencies. In the post, the writer talks about how the lack of effective intelligence sharing between leading intelligence agencies has compromised the security situation of the country. It highlights how terrorism has become a serious threat to the safety and security of the United States. Apart from this, it also adds that terrorist groups that are hostile to the United States have sought to neutralize US interests in other countries around the globe. Therefore, the post highlights the importance of effective intelligence sharing in order to identify and neutralize terrorist threats that are specifically directed towards America or American interests. Having identified the issue of ineffective data sharing and intelligence sharing among intelligence agencies, the post accepts that the data provided in it is incomplete and not comprehensively researched. As a result, it highlights how there is a need to conduct proper well-directed research on the topic in order to determine and establish how serious the problem is to the security of the United States and its interests abroad. Hence accomplished researchers should delve deeper into the issue of communications lags in intelligence sharing in order to investigate how serious the problem is. By doing this, they will be able to accurately determine whether changes need to be made in the current intelligence gathering and sharing structure of the country. From the point of view of homeland security, this is a serious concern that needs to be addressed on a priority basis.
