Abstract

At present, there is a great significance of web technologies because of the growth and development of technology in the world. Over the period of past decade, web technologies have received great priority in conducting different operations due to the access to incorporate and use available software applications. These software applications are assisting in making innovative and creative business services. Developers are consistently developing web applications due to the increment in reputation and interest of integrating web services. Web services allow access to all such applications which are connected to the technology of internet. Due to the evolution in web testing and developments in recent years; many new ways have been developed for software developments. These new developments are introducing certain new issues for web service testing and web service development in order to verify the service's quality which are bound, published, integrated and invoke at runtime. All at once, service centric systems and testing services are posing some serious challenges in traditional approaches which are being used in web service testing. At present, there are several web service testing software have been developed in order to address and deal with the challenges. This paper will put light on these web service development and testing approaches which are being used today.

In addition to this, majority of the organizations are employing a wide range of different applications which exchange and store data in many different ways. The technology of web services have been evolved as a cost effective and practical solution to unite information which has been shared between important applications over platform, language barriers and operating system which were previously blocked. Improved and effective web services implementation and design can help in reducing the difficulty in the development of web services. These effective designs allow organizations to rapidly obtain all of the benefits of powerful technology (Cazzulino et al., 2004).

Overview of Web Services

For developing web services, a software system is developed for supporting interoperable machine-to-machine interactions in the whole network. Web service is considered to be the system's part which has the ability to show web pages with the help of using new standard wire format. In this way, the system agrees for accessing different applications for communicating with each other while sharing information with each other as well. Other standard web is used for building and developing standard web services such as XML and HTTP. XML is used for message format whereas HTTP is used for transporting messages in order to make technologies of web services as they do not depend on proprietary system (Cazzulino et al., 2004).
