Business Career as an Investor
Capitalist and Shareholder: Buffett's father Howard was a stock agent and offered the position as U.S. Congressman. His mother was a house wife. He was the second of three kids and the only boy. He showed great ability for economic and industrial issues early on in his youth. People called him an arithmetical genius, and were capable to put in large columns of figures in his head-a skill he still rarely shows off to associates and business partners (www.biography.com).
He frequently visited his father's stockbrokerage store as a youngster, and thought over the stock market in the workplace. At 11 years old he made his first savings; he purchased three shares of Cities Service chosen at $38 for every share. The stock quickly falls to just $27, but he kept it steadfastly till they arrived at $40. He sold them at small earnings but was disappointed on the choice when Cities Service shot-up to almost $200 a share. He, afterward, mentioned this practice as an early example in persistence in investing sphere.
