Warehouses and Wireless Network

Introduction

Information Technology (IT) is advancing day by day. The combination of analytical tools and techniques laid the foundation of the product called data warehouse. There are many factors to consider the data warehouse including the organization's investment in collecting the information which is stored through the enterprise. Data ware houses are supposed to provide storage, functionality and responsiveness. Data ware houses set the performances of databases. Traditional databases are required to fulfill the need to ensure the integrity of data.

Today, there is a need to give the list of details from the lower management to the upper management in order to make decisions. A data warehouse is the integrated, collection of data which support the management to take decisions. Data ware houses are designed to support the decision making processes. Data ware houses are the collection of combined data from different sources. It is the non-volatile as compared to data bases as they are volatile. Data ware houses require the historical data to support the time series. Data ware houses contain the large amount of data as compared to the source databases. The large amount of data is in terabytes which is dealt by virtual data warehouses and data mart. Enterprise-wide data ware houses are the enormous projects which need huge investments and resources.

Reliability

Wireless connections get some problems as compared to the wired devices such as we use cord telephones and without cord telephones in our homes. The problem increases when we go far away from the router In case of wireless internet.

Speed

Speed of wired network is faster than the wireless network. This is due to the technical issues with the wireless networks including reliability.

Convenience
