Introduction

War is the continuation of politics by other means. War is not organized, but registered with weapons and power conflict between communities within a state so as to assert by force. War is done by various means like economical, political, ideological, and by military interests. At the start of the 21st century, the humans are faced with various dilemmas.

This planet of human beings is increasingly getting populated and along with that the threats are also extending. The resources available on the planet are limited and their usage is increasing with the passage of time. With their use, these resources are becoming scarce and can result in many catastrophes. In addition, the global warming is also increasing which can result in enormous disputes among the humans.

The societies of humans are not equally distributed in terms of wealth and possessions, which lead to certain misunderstandings, revenges and wars. The cultural system of humans in most areas of the planet perpetuates various regrettable patterns which include the political and social injustice.

These injustices are based on sexism, racism, militarism and various others forms of unfairness abound. In these injustices the government is also a part which remains quite and sees the scenarios silently. These injustices and inequalities lead to big clashes and disputes which are on bigger level called as “War” (Webel & Barash, 2008, pp. 1).

Meanings of War

War is a series of catastrophes that results in a victor. War is considered to be occurred when a large number of troops or military forces join together to start it. Many scholars define war by the total number of military forces used or setting a minimum number of troops. Various other scholars believe that war can be decided by the total number of deaths incurred. Scholars like M. Small and J. D. Singer consider war if the total number of combat related fatalities are up to 1000.

War is the availability of surplus arms, the discrediting of socialist ideologies, the withdrawal of super powers and their support to client regimes. This support creates the path for new wars which results in heavy losses. Along with the physical wars is the cold war, which also plays a significant role in the history of mankind. The cold war is more effective than the brawling war as it sorts out various important aspects of the political terms (Kaldor, 2007, pp. 4).

Causes of War

War is considered as a pattern of interaction within and between the states and various other political units for the millennia. The war in its various and distinct varieties, it is the most destructive and disparaging form of the human behaviour and their activities. The war, on the whole, exterminates and eradicates the people, retards the social and economic development, obliterates the resources, spreads diseases, ruins the environments, expands the governments, reshapes the cultures, militarizes the societies, disrupts the families, and traumatizes the people.
