Health Informatics- Normalization of Data

Introduction

The goal of normalizing a database is to avoid problems that may cause failure in the design of the database, as well as eliminate the mixture of repeated information and the unnecessary corresponding and the duplication of data. The abbreviation for normalization is used (NF), which means "Normal Form". Normalization is a process from which rules apply to all tables in the database in order to avoid design flaws, such as data redundancy and blending of different subjects in the same table (Coronel et.al, 2013).
