Introduction

W. E. B. Dubois became one of the most influential leaders of the 20th century for his various different works. His actions were at times in contrast to other black leaders such as Booker Washington. However, despite his different stance, he gained great fame during the civil rights movement of the 1950s and he inspired the new generation of the black people.
