Introduction

I have assumed my role as a Vitruvius manager who has been asked to advice Mr. Kelleher about the issue company facing, firstly as a manager I have to identify the issue involved in this case, after analyzing the complete case. I have identified that issue is about communication management, where one employee who is responsible for IT department is peeking into another employee inbox and reading its personal communication, as Mr. Gardener messaging his doctor, whereas on the other hand there is one more issue, Gardener is not only doing conversation with his doctor he is also viewing some of the websites and looking at the some of the inappropriate content. In this case there is one more employee who is aware about this issue, he is the friend of Mr. Dennis Gardner named Rick Sanchez, he is the one who is briefing Dennis about the issue. In my view there is no doubt that Dennis Gardener is violating company policy, but company should not forget the importance of Dennis Gardener as he is one of the senior employee and directly related to the company operations. Discussion

I will suggest that company should change their way of linking department, an IT department should be restricted to see the email id of sender and receiver they should not be provided access to complete inbox for viewing personal emails, as it allowed by the company, until and unless personal emails should not overload the system.

Whereas viewing of some irregular content by browsing websites, that's where Dennis must be held responsible for his acts and should, asked about it but this is the responsibility of senior head not the marketing executive.
