View of Jesus in the Christian and Islamic

Introduction

Both Christianity and Islam religions are somewhat similar yet different in several aspects. One of the major differences between both the religions is the view of Jesus. In both religions Jesus or Isa in Arabic (P.B.U.H.) is of great importance. However, there are several differences in regards of beliefs about this noble messenger's life nature and occurrence. This paper is focused on views of Jesus in both the religions i.e. Islam and Christianity.

Discussion

Christians see Jesus as the son of God, a part of the holy trinity that consists of God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. They believe Jesus died for them on the cross and repented for all the sins of humanity. While in Islam, Muslims believe that Jesus was a prophet and messenger and was given a revelation from God, but then became contorted into what is now Christianity. Jesus is a prophet to them that they believe brought down revelations, improved the society of the Children of Israel, and spread the belief that there is one God and none other than him created the universe.

While Christians believe Jesus is the son of god the Muslims do not give him that high authority for several reasons. Christians say that they believe in one god (a monotheistic religion) but they are actually worshiping Jesus and the Holy Spirit which means they are worshiping three gods but saying they are one as an excuse! In the eyes of a Muslim, they are committing Shirk (to worship something other than God). A polytheistic religion means they worship more than one god and that is HUGE sin to Muslims.

Another reason Muslims don't believe in the trinity is: Allah is the first and the last (Al-Awwal and Al-Akhir) if Jesus is part of God that means Jesus has to be the first too, but he isn't. By the way Christians believe that god is the first too (Isa. 43:10-11), which is from the bible. They disobeyed God, Jesus, and the bible when they formed Jesus and and the Holy Spirit as God! Another reason: Angel Jibreel (Gabriel) blew into Maryam (mary's) womb and that is how she got pregnant. Like the Christians, we also believe she is a virgin. God created Jesus' soul just like he created every other soul. The angel delivered the soul. She had Jesus. End of story. There is no EVIDENCE or REFERENCE in the Quran, Hadith, history, or ANYTHING that says Jesus is the son of God. Muslims also have many stories of some miracles of Jesus: These miracles happened not because Jesus is powerful but because God has the power. God is the one who permitted the miracles to happen and made the miracles happen. Sometimes the prophets do not even KNOW what the miracle is going to be. God will give them an order and they are always obedient and they go through with the order and the miracles surprise the ...
