Introduction

The New Asylum, the groundbreaking film of FRONTLINE provided an insight on the prison system of Ohio as it come across a severe problem to provide care to psychiatric prisoners. This film provides a deep insight on the lives of mentally ill inmates at prison. This movie is classified into five parts: Therapy inside a prison, inmates in crises, the prison psychiatric hospital, the hopes and fears, and Epilogue. This film raises a severe concern whether jails of America become new asylums.
