Following are some of the usability issues which are being experienced by the users on Moodle, the issues include:
Lack of Contextual Analysis
The usage context describes the environment of the user, which includes the users duties, his work, and the working environment and the users themselves, e.g. which includes the experience and skills of the user. The usability of a product is always related to the context of use. Use contextual analysis should always be at the beginning of usability measures, it forms as it were the foundation for the next steps. This point is overlooked most often (Cole, 2005).
Violation of Expectation of Conformity
Conformity with user expectations is a fundamental principle of the DIN standard 9241-110 and says that products should work as the user expects it, and that's usually the way it is generally accepted conventions. A fine example is the student's areas where we have become a certain place and a certain Icon usual. Differs from other online educational sites at these points by the expectation of conformity, it may take longer, until the user logs into the student area, this can cause the process to halt.
Users' Involvement in Development
Usability measures are off immense importance, and they should be carried out in each phase of the development of a product. And from the beginning, users should be involved after all; they are the ones who are to operate the product later. Too often, however, users are asked in no development or even asked to test. As a consequence, companies often experience then buyer frustration, which discharges to the Hotline. Usability can ensure that such costs. But for that you have to include just the users (Rice et.al, 2008).
Less Number of Iterations
Nice if usability measures to accompany the Development of a product. But usability is an iterative process. This means that results of individual actions, for example, user prototype testing should be reviewed and possibly initiate changes. These should then be possible again and needs to be evaluated by experts or users (Nielsen, 2000).
Lack of Memorability in Design
A problem (not only) of Web usability: if you want that users visit its website later, should ensure that you do not have to think twice about where certain functions or navigation points are found. This point is of course connected with the expectation of compliance and the fact that a design should be simply designed as a clear and structured. Memorability allows the users to enjoy whenever they want to use a product for a long time once again - it is intuitive, it can be found easily trimmed again (Watrall, & Siarto, 2008).
Inconsistent Web Page Design
Inconsistency is a very common usability problem which has been reported by the users, so I have quarrelled so much, it "only" place to return. Inconsistent a product whenever related elements are not continuous conformed. Say, not even a box on a Web page that points to me ...
