Introduction

The educational system of the United States is decentralized; most decisions about programs and funding taken by local authorities: the school boards. Educational programs ("Curricula") are established by each State of the United States. The federal government, through the Department of Education of the United States, is primarily involved in education funding. Private schools develop their programs freely and in the federal system only 22 states draw up a list of recommended textbooks. In most states, freedom of choice is total. The legislatures of each state establish a common minimum set of knowledge in the programs.

The United States, where only 4% of the global population aged 5 to 25 years represent 28% of the budget total world of education. The reason is that they do better in Community colleges than the university, and year of study will cost almost half the price. These schools not only teach trades, but also offer a program of academic preparation corresponding to the first two university courses. After the end of the college with an Associate Degree, students can get admissions directly to the third year of university. Community colleges tend to have contracts with state institutions of their State for admission of students, and once a student has passed a college course he can transfer his credit hours and can get admission to the university program.
