US policy towards Latin America

A number of policies that was crafted in the U.S.A. during the Cold War of 1950's were supposed to fight back any communist governments all over the globe, and their policy towards countries in Latin American were developed keeping in view the similar concerns. Whether influenced their policies regarding the immigrants coming from Latin American countries by allowing a great number of immigration from the Latin countries to America would reinforce or deteriorate the forces of anti-communist in the said countries (Richard, 1993).
