1.1 What is the purpose of internal quality assurance in learning and development?

When it comes to learning and development, internal quality assurance plays an integral role. This is because through internal quality assurance, a person can enhance the learning and development process by identifying various negative factors that may affect it. A person has to make sure that the traits that define his individual learning environment are developed in such a way that they benefit him greatly. Therefore, it is imperative that he is able to devise the proper means through which he can maintain the quality of his learning environment traits. In this regard, the role of internal quality assurance is integral. Internal quality assurance sees to it that the traits that define a person's learning environment are developed in the right way. It is responsible for a number of tasks and, in the long run, these help in the learning and development process. For example, the internal quality assurance reviews the traits that a person possesses in order to identify those qualities that do not benefit him or which are favorable to him but are underdeveloped. The process then helps to devise the right means that would enable and assists the person to overcome the highlighted shortcomings in his learning environment traits. Therefore, rather than simply identifying negative learning environment traits the role of the internal quality assurance process is to foster greater learning and development in a person.

The key concepts of an internal quality assurance are accountability, internal assessment strategies, risk factors, internal evaluation, transparency, and having a rationale.

1.3 Who is involved in internal and external quality assurance and what are their responsibilities?

A person conducts an internal Quality Assurance for the purpose of conducting internal quality assurance procedures. From the point of view of a learner, the learning and development process involves the participation of the learners as well as the teachers. The main criteria of the quality assurance department are to ensure that the quality standards followed in a learning environment are in accordance with the quality standards that have been established and followed internationally. The main responsibility of the process is, therefore, to identify weaknesses in the learning environment and among learners. After the identification of weaknesses, the department proposes the required changes that need to be made in order to improve learning environment quality.

1.4 What are the regulations and requirements for internal quality assurance related to your own area?

There are certain regulations and requirements in terms of the quality of learning environment traits that are related to my own area.
