The Ones Who Walk Away From Omelas

Omelas, an utopian happiness city, whose inhabitant was quite cultured and smart, every single thing about the Omelas is pleasing, except from the city secret, “Omelas good fortunes required the single unfortunate child who was kept in the perpetual filth, misery and darkness and her nearby person told it on coming of age”.

Omelas in utopia, it is not the lifeless types through which the word is inspires. According to Le Guin, (1993), the inhabitants are not “dulcet shepherds” not, “bland utopians”, nor “simple folk”. The residents of the city are not live their life simply - they can be seeking towards all types of luxuries, latest technologies, beer and drugs because their happiness just not depend on possession but just based on the discrimination, what they think necessary existence in their life. “What is destructive”, this is also a significant definition about utopia: every individual is relates it as war, competition and slavery that is not needed. Children's are quite happy and adults on other hands are mature enough as well as passionate. There is no need of government and hierarchal church. City of Utopia is beautiful, harvest and weather are kind of abundant and everyone is healthy. This is just as we though as icing on the cake, utopia is all by mean a perfect city, indeed from suffering child.

The central theme of this work is directly relates towards the narrators thoughts, who basically shows his sympathized with the Omelas citizens, the child plights as the major sources of all the compassion existence in the town.
