Introduction

Effective management is the most significant element of a running successful organization. Strategy of a business can be translated into effective outputs with the help of managerial system. When management system of an organization is effective, every stakeholder of the organizations comes together to accomplish strategic role of the organization. There are two factors that have considerable influence over effectiveness in this regard: the CEO of the organization as an architect and the manager. In this paper we are going to focus on the efficiencies of managers (George & Jones, 2000). Manager can be described as a person responsible for administrating or controlling a group of staff or entire organization. Managers are building blocks of organizations. However there are different types of managers playing different roles. The main role of a manger is to effectively utilize organizational resources. In this paper, role of manager in typical organization will be discussed along with three traits required by an individual to become effective manager. In addition, we shall discuss how these traits fit into the four functions of management. The purpose of this paper is to let readers know about the role and importance of manger in an organization.

Manager's Role in Typical Organization

Effective skill development to deal with particular challenges and problems of every organization is urgent requirement of several organizations and businesses in rapid changing and global competitive environment. Manager of atypical organization is a person who communicated the vision of organization to the other employees. He/she make sure that there effective communication is in flow and that there is no misinterpretations taking place. Mangers of typical organizations plays crucial role in the decision making process of an organization. They know the way to communicate and effectively bring organizational changes. In addition, they play an important role in setting organizational goals. A good manager is close of his/her employee, understands and motivates him/her (Desai & George, 2008). Efficient managers of typical organization encourage their employee to perform better, praise them for their brilliant performance. In general terms manager can said to be a person who controls or directs a group or entire organization. Managers are responsible for creating such work environment in which employees can perform to their best ability and help organization to achieve its vision and objectives.

Employee grow and progress because they get constructive feedbacks from their managers rather than negative feedback. Managers also provide them with coaching, mentoring along with online support. Mangers also pay critical role in minimizing conflict between the employees since they resolve various conflicts to reach at acceptable solution which ultimately improves work quality of employees. It should be noted that manager's role varies and highly depends on the area in which he /she is managing.
