Introduction

The basic tool in the formulation of an answerable clinical question is the PICO question that is, population, intervention, control, and outcome. To answer any question about improving health care outcomes, we need to know the population or patient group for which the treatment used. Therefore, this paper comprises of the search question under the PICO format used for the assistance of the actual study on the wide scope of diabetes. The paper will also comprise a detailed material which will assist the overall research that gets conducted on the subject matter of diabetes. Moreover, this paper will also comprise the techniques and resources through which I will collect the data. In contrast to that the paper will have a road map or a path way that will aid in understanding the actual research. In short, this paper will highlight the whole process that I will be using to conduct my research relevant to issues relating to “Diabetes” (Sackett, 1996).

The research is based upon an in-depth analysis of diabetes type II patients with the help of reputable healthcare officials and doctors who will help me in deriving conclusion for people taking insulin shots comparing the possible usage of bitter melon, which acts as, natural insulin to result the flow of insulin in the body to keep the level of diabetes under control.

Finding the Best Evidence

After formulating an answerable clinical question, the next step is to find the best available evidence for the topic of my research which gets based upon the field of diabetes. Hence, this requires systematically searching sources of medical and health care research including databases. Therefore, the libraries and databases I will be using to find the relevant evidential data for the diabetic topics are as followed. MEDLINE, CINAHL, EMBASE, Nursing@Ovid, Nursing reference centre, Ebesco, Proquest health and medicine, and the Cochrane Library are the libraries I will be using for my research. However, to avail the effectiveness of the libraries and get the relevant data for the diabetes research, I need to sort down the keywords that will help me in finding the data.
