Introduction

The Tudor dynasty or House of Tudor was a well-known European royal house of Welsh origin. It rained England from 1485 until 1603. The first monarch of The Tudor dynasty was Henry Tudor. He was a successor through his mother of a legitimized division of the English royal House of Lancaster. The Tudor family gained power in the wake of the Wars of the Roses, which left the House of Lancaster, to which the Tudors were aligned, extirpated.

In the history of England, a number of dominating hereditary sovereign dynasties were present. The origin of these dynasties was Wales. England was developed into one of the most powerful countries by the native of Wales. The native of Wales conquered several parts of the world. From 1485 to 1603, there were as many as five kings and queens in England. These kings and Queens reined as Tudors (Lehman, 2005, pp. 139).

This paper aims to analyse the argument that the main challenge to royal authority was the character of the Tudor monarchs.

Discussion

The analysis of the Tudors' time period in England reveals that the public during their reign was obsessed with order. People were afraid of the consequences of breaking the order.

There were six monarchs in the House of Tudor produced six monarchs who ruled during this period. These monarchs included Henry VII and VIII, Edward VI, Lady Jane, and Mary (Saraga, 1998, pp. 48). It is widely believed that the Tudors' reign was a critical time in the history of England. The character of the Tudor Monarchs was one of the biggest challenges of the royal authority. It is because all these Tudor monarchs had focused on gaining ultimate power (Clegg, 2004, pp.7).

Role of Tudors in England

The Tudor period is viewed as the summit of the English realm. There is no denying the fact that the Tudor Period was one of the critical time periods in the history of England. The conquest of church powers supplemented to the support of the monarch.

The role of Tudors in the rise and fall of England is significant. The role played by each Tudors encompasses the massacre of many people during their period. During the reign of Tudors, England confronted a great deal of abandonment and transformation. The desertion and transformation of England during the reign of Tudors can be witnesses in the cultural and social aspects of life.

During Tudor period, people were categorized according to a hierarchy. The King was on the top of the hierarchy. The wealthy people of the society had the opportunity7 to rise to the higher status. However, the poor were deprived of advancement opportunities. The top tier of the social system included Kings or Queens. They were the richest people of the region. They were the owners of royal residences and other property.
