Introduction

Today, the leaders of organization are not only facing challenges to assure that their firms are effective, efficient, and financially solvent but, most importantly they have to earn trust and respect of their employees. In order to perform effectively and more socially in global market, leaders have to demonstrate and posses ethical behavior and trustworthiness. For many of the existing evidence of the nature of leadership, the most important thing is to understand that leadership s the process of building trust. The trust cannot be measured or touched. It is either there or not. Trust is the main attribute of leadership (Dirks, 2002). Confidence is the belief in one's integrity, honesty, faith in the sincerity and good faith of anyone. In this paper, we are going to discuss objectives of leaders for business decisions, and evaluate ethics in academic settings.

Approaches

There are two parties who influence the decision of a company. Leaders and management have almost same approaches to decision making. The impact of these approaches is on employees, and its impact is huge. There are moments where the decision may represent a risk because the available information leading to a particular choice is incomplete in such situations; it is easy for a leader to recognize what is not profitable and quickly adjust to meet the needs of the business and the team. It helps when one is aware of the consequences of a decision. Considering that if the consequence is minimal, risk is also minimized. There are 7 different approaches of leadership; Charismatic, Authentic, Adaptive, Strategic, Transformational, Servant, and Dynamical while management has three major approaches such as active listening role, cultivating role, and steering role (Covey, 2002). All of these approaches have a different impact on the decision making of a company and their impact on employees. For example in charismatic leadership, decisions are made with consultation of their teams and sometimes this type of leadership demotivates employees because since they don't feel respected and empowered. Two forms of leadership are closely related to ethical leadership, transformational leadership and authentic leadership. Ethical leadership must be centered on integrity. Managers must be persons acting with integrity and build credibility among their subordinates.

Conflicting objectives

Conflicting objectives of leadership may be positive as well as negative to the business. The objectives of leaders may work in one department, but it is not necessary that it also works in the other department of the organization which in turn, may harm to the business. Leadership is essential to drive major personal changes that can be social and economic of any kind, the world has been evident of huge changes by many leaders, plantation of many positive ideas, but they also created chaos and destruction. Leadership has an objective of creating trustworthiness and ethical culture within the organization while managers mostly focus on financial objective of the business (Kouzes, 2003).
