Trends and Issues in Instructional Design and Technology
Introduction
Instructional Design also know as (ID) is the procedure of creating experiences of instructions which make the acquisition of skills and knowledge more effective, efficient, as well as inspiring. All scholars, educators, and designers involved in the process of instructional designing have trained in the field boundaries of these resources for ages, as such has become an essential requirement especially in the contexts of online learning. There are crucial queries that are dependent of appropriate answers by the professionals of this field, as there are no any generally acknowledged answers or definition of it. This paper proposed for providing readers with information that could assist them in getting some of the answers to their queries related to the changing issues and trends in instructional designing and technology for facilitating online learning.
In this paper, there will be an examination and discussion that how the definition of the (ID) Instructional Design field has altered over the years, and how the present widely accepted definitions in the process of instructional designing work in a learning environment.
Describe a Policy Problem that you might assign a learner, using an actual issue that's being debated in today's political news. How would you solve the problem?
Most of the policy problems that are printed on the front pages of the news magazines or in the newspapers are multi-faceted and complex issues on which various distinctive perspectives and positions exist. If I get a chance to assign a Policy Problem to a learner, then I will assign a policy problem that is being debated in the latest political news, for instance, “low crop productivity in the Soviet Union, and how the learner as being would a problem solver go about improving crop in the Soviet Union?” There is no doubt in the fact that by applying the methods and techniques of instructional design by the learners may result in better solutions to the problem, and can be taken as the great assistant in solving complex and time-consuming problems at any level. The problem related to the low crop productivity may be solved by the problem solver of the Soviet Union, if he as being a learner of instructional design, constructs some conceptual techniques that make any indication of the association between the things that become a necessarily factor of the low crop production (Anderson, 2004). Thus, through that indication, those factors could be made better to increase the crop productivity in the Soviet Union.
