Traffic Issues in Dade County of Miami

Executive Summary

The people of Dade County in Florida went to the service of the Grand Jury being aware of the fact and personal experience that they all are going through a crisis of Traffic congestion. Everyone in the community has gone through the stress of having to stall in traffic lines for hours on the various roads and have been irritated by falling short on reaching to the required destinations at the desired time. The way events of traffic in terms of congestion unfolds everyday are almost similar to the day before, as this monotonous routine has made additions to our vocabulary such as; “Road Rage”, “Rush Hour” & “Bumper to Bumper” means of traffic that have become a part of our daily lives, as the load remains roughly the same on daily basis with a promise of only to be increased for a change. In order to present a proposal to offer a rectification for the dilemma withstood by the whole county of DADE, a solution has been laid in as a recommendation to resolve the crisis of the traffic congestion.

After having six months of immense investigation into the problem, a great deal of experience with respect to the problem recognition has been attained during which a lot of predetermined ideas and concepts were discarded regarding the crisis of the traffic congestion as new philosophies were brought through the brainstorming of the jury that was seeking a fresh resolution for the issue. They were also aware of the fact that how narrow their alternatives were with respect to the up-gradation of the traffic system as it was undergoing a crisis situation and the issue pointed out was the excess of vehicles. The main essence of this research portrays that the task of developing extended roads and expressways to counter the ever increasing problem is not an easy option for the Dade County, as there are not much vacant places to implement these solutions on that would enable them to commute fluently and as per the mentioned speed during the rush hours of the day. However the reality that faces the County is that there are no Magical or overnight solutions for their issues. This report has unveiled the fact that the sole key to eradicate this dilemma of commuting through their personal vehicles is to develop a mass Transit system for the people that are faced with the traffic congestion problem, so that their travelling concerns can be addressed and rectified.
