Introduction

Medea is the daughter of the king of Colchis Aetes, granddaughter of the Sun and niece of the witch Circe. Jason met Medea during a campaign without the help of which would not stand possible to get the Golden Fleece. Medea to follow him and give him the victory, not only betrayed and abandoned by her father, but he and his brother hostage Apsyrto, which did not hesitate to kill and tear. Medea and Jason finally going to live in Corinth, everything changes once the Kreontas, king of Corinth, decides to marry his daughter Kreousa with Jason. Then, Medea kills her children for revenge by making threats toward Jason. In the end, appears to flying chariot with winged horses-gifts-great-grandfather of the Sun and heads to Athens. On the other hand, Euripides, according to the pronouncements of Aristotle's Poetics, focused on the place and time of drama, the figure of Medea in the mythological context. Euripides' Medea is a woman who acts motivated only by love; of her love for Jason. In contrast to the figure of Medea, which is extensively and masterfully designed, for we have Jason, apparently at least, little evidence to inform us about his character. The words of Jason, Medea affecting irreversibly, bring to light the conflict between two radically different characters. As Jason's selfishness highlights the way the ideal female personality who is willing to sacrifice what is most dear to it only motivated by love has turned to hatred, Medea is outlined as a form that is expressed almost exclusively in by killing: murder committed earlier, wanting to help her beloved husband, is now ready to kill her own child and children are Jason, having earlier murdered the Kreousa in order to avenge the man who hurt so. However, Medea is not nothing to the brutal and cruel princess who makes unscrupulous atrocities, according to the primitive traditions of the place, the Medea is a woman in love, and that the property is so special to her to wean from the genus people. During the first half of the 20th century, Austrian psychiatrist Carl Gustav Jung theorized the "collective unconscious", an innovative approach towards this libido of the teacher of Sigmund Freud, visa, apart from anything else, stands firmly in the irrational parameters of European tradition and the heritage of a Dark Ages. The reality of madness has always been the man in a treaty boggling, really a "limit condition" as would say the Giaspers. The state of psychosis, schizophrenia, in its extreme form, such as codes of modern psychiatry, is a situation that is unfamiliar to us and familiar, dreaded and yet the civilized world. It is present in art and the foundations of our thinking - this circumstance; the "derogation" from the "normal" is also present in all the extremes of human events. The undisputed, however, is that love in this case "unlock" the door to the abyss, mobilizes and decodes dark realities. (McDermott, 1995)
