He casted light on all features of a common life, from the socio judicial structure to day to day matters. The book is written to serve as a comprehensive guideline to the reader of 21st century who happens to get a chance to visit 14th century using time traveler.

Ian Mortimer, in his book “The Time Traveler's Guide to Medieval England: A Handbook for Visitors to the Fourteenth Century”, takes the reader to a fascinating journey to the England of the fourteenth centaury. The book has taken an entirely new perspective of history. Contrary to traditional, historical books, Ian endeavors to make the reader, rather than just studying the history, feel the real life circumstances prevailing in the England of fourteenth centaury. He has presumed a time machine which has journeyed us back to England and suddenly we are in the centre of medieval Europe.
