These options and choices should be open to all without distinction on gender, socioeconomic etc. The career options are open to individuals throughout their lives. During their life, humans generally take on a vast repertoire roles in the workplace, these tasks may or may not be rewarded. Career counselors help people to explore, pursue and achieve their goals career. (Arbona, 1996)

Vocational guidance includes four main elements namely to assist individuals to become more aware of their interests, values ??and capabilities, as well as their own personality. To give students access to resources so they can be better informed trades and professions. And to include students in the process of making decisions so they can choose a career matched to their have possession of happiness, aptitudes and behavior. Assisting individuals to manage their careers (especially to manage the transitions between steps and balancing their various social roles) and to become followers of Education permanently improving their training for life. (Brown, 2000)

The reasons why people embrace certain professions vary the importance they attach to either their preferences or centers personal interests. The choice of career is not a single decision in the life of a person, but rather a continuous process that can occur at any age. All trades are useful and contribute to the success and well-being of a society. (Arbona, 1996)

Throughout the world the field of vocational guidance uses many different terms. For purposes of this guide, the terms used are defined below.
