The Disney Institute is a training organization owned by the Walt Disney Company. It was created by Disney in 1986 to meet the needs of businesses. From 1996 to 2001, the institute had a permanent training center for professionals and the public also in Walt Disney World Resort. Service to the public has been proposed that until 1999. It has existed since 2003 a similar organization called Disney Entrepreneur Center in the area of Orlando, Florida.

The Walt Disney Company had been contacted several times by companies to conduct seminars and provide advice in the management of personnel, projects and various other topics. Existed since 1969, a subsidiary named Walt Disney Educational Productions for the production of educational materials for schools, students and teachers. It was not until 1986 that a special department was created for companies. In 1990, Michael Eisner launched several projects related to the creativity of an organization where education would be a hobby. After several years of seminars in the convention centers in the world, Michael Eisner decided to open a permanent training center for the public on February 9 1996. The Hotel du Village Resort Disney was losing popularity, it was therefore decided to revitalize it by opening in a renovated part a Disney Institute.
