Introduction

A rubric is supposed to be an authentic tool for assessment. It is designed to measure the quality of students' work. It is basically a scoring guide is used for evaluating seeks a student's performance. The evaluation of rubric is based on the sum of a complete range of criteria instead of a single numerical score. A rubric is a set of instructions or a working guide helpful for both the teachers and the students, usually offered to them before the assignment starts. Through rubric, students get to know the specific criteria on which their teacher will judge their work. Rubrics can either be holistic or analytic, and can be designed for any subject including history, maths, foreign languages, writing, drama, music, art, etc.

The rubric is an assessment tool which is made in order to suggest activities of real life when students are involved in solving real-life problems. It seems like a formative assessment as it emerges as a persistent comprising complete learning and teaching process. In this assessment process, students are involved themselves through both self and peer-assessment. The process of rubric is so common now, and students are much familiar with it so they can also help in designing rubric process. Students are completely acknowledged with the process of assessment using rubric tool as a criteria, so now they can easily share their ideas in designing rubrics. Participation of students in this process strengthens students leaning ability and makes them more diverted and focused towards learning and acquiring knowledge. Powerful assessment removes all the hurdles between learning, teaching and assessment.

Discussion

Student Voice is partial contemplative self-assessment that can be expressed by the learners in order to improve different aspects of learning as well as teaching. Student voice is considered to be significant evidence, combined with the work of students and student understanding of their own learning progress and process foe achieving the goal of learning. Students' voice in rubric mainly includes the following:

Learning objectives are explained by the students in their own words either oral or written instead of mentioned by teacher.

Through this, students are able to express the significance of learning objectives.

It helps the students to demonstrate they have accomplished their targeted performance.

It provides evidence to the students to be acknowledged that how to evaluate their progress in achieving the learning objectives with the help of tools (rubric, checklist, etc.).
