With regards to the current status of the U.S. Border Patrol along the Mexican border, it can be said that review requests for deployment of National Guard troops on the U.S. border with Mexico are being made. However, there are no such immediate plans for implementation. Moreover, battles can also spill across the two borders and militarization is not the solution for long term. Drug violence in Mexico has become a concern and Mexican drug war needs to be reviewed for a new border policy.
