The Road Not Taken by Robert Frost

Robert Frost's "The Road Not Taken" converses about the everyday alternatives that one makes while traveling down the street of life. In the first stanza the speaker inserts the verse by saying "Two streets diverged in a yellow wood”. This is intriguing because it is proposes that there are two "actual" streets, as are against to figurative roads. Then the speaker proceeds on to state "And regretful I could not journey both”. In the verse, narrator compares two life alternatives that a feature is in front of. The narrator recounts those two alternatives as two streets in the wood. The entire verse recounts the environment round the major narrator, and for the most part narrator's contemplation in between the choices. The environment is yellow timber, with grassy routes (roads). Frost writes: "And be the traveler, long I stood, and looked down one as far as I could.”(Ehrlich, 1982 128)
