Introduction

The Ottoman state started as one of several small Turkish states that came into view in Asia Minor when the world witnessed the collapse of the Seljuk Turks Empire (Inalcik, 1973). The Ottoman Turks started to soak up the other states, and throughout the sovereignty of Muhammad II (1451-81) (Inalcik, 1973) they finished the other Turkish reigns.
