Introduction

The U.S. education system is trying to improve test scores and the learning system, but still there is disappointment among the parents. This factor has led to a number of parents who have an eye for homeschooling their children. This is a fact that the home schooling is rising at a rapid pace in USA. This is a positive factor but still the parents are very much concerned about their children. They need to assess the performance of their children in the school and also must have a regular follow up with their teachers for determining the progress in a proper way. Therefore, all the issues related to the rise of homeschooling will be discussed in detail.

Discussion

The numbers of children which are now labeled as homeschooled children have risen more than 75% since 1999, as mentioned by homeschooling statistics report. Even though, there are about 4% of students in the US who are labeled as homeschooled, parents have chosen to teach their kids at home that has a rate which is seven times higher as compare to those children who have been enrolled in K-12 schools. The report even states that those children who study at home have performed well in several standardized tests conducted by the kids as compare to those children who attended public schools. There are many public schools, in which students have an average more than 50%, while students learning at home achieved a score of more than 65-89% on assessment exercises and tests. There is a notion regarding those kids that study at public schools will be much more social as compare to those kids who would study at home.
