Discussion
The scenario selected for this informative white paper is related to that portion of the population which is affected by dangerous disease of cancer. It proposes a drug program that might be helpful to address special needs of this segment of the population.
Cancer could be stated as a health killer that can be associated with many health issues in the human body. Statistics indicate that in 2007 around 7.6 million deaths were caused by cancer on a global scale, which is being equivalent to around 13% of human deaths in totality (Wilking & Jonsson, 2011). The traditional oncological methods of treating cancer have failed to prevent the progress of the disease. However, scientists have come up with new cancer drugs that can change the situation. There are many big firms of the US drug industry who have poured their money into clinical trials to curb the disease and make it curable. The industry statistics for the year 2010 reflect the situation as below (The Economist, 2011):

Since prevalence of cancer is among all age groups that have been silent killing for past several years, new drugs for cancer have been developed to cure cancer and help patients live a carefree, healthy and prolonged life. In the US, treatment for cancer ranges from affordable and economic treatments to costly and unaffordable medication and treatment process (Wilking & Jonsson, 2011).
