The Power of Six

Introduction

John Smith (Number four) escaped death in Paradise, Ohio. Now, with Sam and the number six he must find the rest, the six of the nine survivors in order to fight against the impending invasion. They know that the war is near. Meanwhile, the number Seven is hiding in Spain. All the warriors must reunite for the war, but the protector seems to have turned their backs on their past and purpose (Stanley, 20 - 50).

Discussion

The power of six is what might be called a bridge book, and is mainly devoted to building and strengthening character, and the creation of the threads of a larger plot that lies ahead. Normally these kinds of books do not usually stand out, but this is one of the exceptions. It rushes at a rate faster than I am number four, exceeding adventure and action. The contours of the battle begin to sharpen; legacies strengthen and begin to know how cruel the Mogadorianos can become, and while all this happens, we discover more about the planet Lorien and culture (Stanley, 20 - 50).

There are two narrative voices in history: on one hand, we have John and because of him number Seven which has taken the name of Marina, a character who has spent the last eleven years in the north of Spain, in a convent which also makes the time of the orphanage. This split narrative gives the story a much wider range and manages to keep up at all times, no doubt helped by an easy and lucid writing style. The author adopts a more relaxed approach to the history of the Navy allowing us to get to know and empathize with her more quickly despite being a new protagonist.
