The Ku Klux Klan or commonly known as the KKK is the extremist organization in the United States of America The extremism in the United States with Ku Klux Klan is the evidence that this group was involved in terrorizing the citizens (Horowitz, 1998, p71-77). The Klux Klan is founded in 1866 by James R. Crowe, Captain john C., Lester Calvin Jones, Richard Reed John D. Kennedy and Frank McCord. These were the Confederate Civil War fighters. The word “Kuklos” is derived from the Greek word which means “circle of brothers”. It is the American terrorist group that also known as “The Knights Party”. They are also associated themselves with the “White color” which has the implicit meaning to present themselves as the “White Christian America”. The concept of white is associated with the religious effect of Christianity. It is more appropriate to call them the group of religious extremist involved in various criminal activities and they have investigated by the FBI. They have also involved with the Republican Parties.
They are involved in various other activities like racial segregation, white supremacy, anti immigration, and anti communism (www.History.com). It is very clear from the point of view that the Ku Klux Klan always shows themselves as patriotic it is their basic duty to fight against the colored and other people who are not white or non Christian. They even involved in killing of these people in the name of patriotism. Their main concern is to maintain the white and Christian supremacy at any cost. Brister also defines them as “the patriotic enemies of the State”, and provide the contrast with the other Christian movements and analyze their Neo-Nazis behavior (Brister, 2010 p173-191).
