The Nutcracker

Introduction

The Nutcracker is one of the composer's most well liked compositions. The melodies pertain to the Romantic Period and comprise some of his most memorable tunes, some of which are often utilised in TV and film. (They are often learned in television commercials shown throughout the Christmas season.) The Trepan, or Russian promenade, is one of the most recognizable parts in the choreography, along with the well renowned Waltz of the Flowers and March, as well as the ubiquitous Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy.
