Nursing is a noble profession that encompasses a wide variety of duties in the healthcare framework. Health promotion serves one of the purposes of the nursing profession; to enable people to improve upon their health and make it a part of their routines. Creative a supportive environment for the patients lies at the front of the nursing role which demands the pursuit of strong communication skills in order to help people improve upon their health, at large. This research paper evaluated five literary sources of the recent five years, examining what these authors have to say in regard of nursing as a contribution towards health promotion while also recommending certain strategies that can ensure successful delivery of healthy initiatives.

The Nurse's Role in Health Promotion and Wellness
Introduction
The need to promote health and wellness has never been this crucial before. Nurses indeed play a very crucial role in the enhancement and promotion of health and wellness. Traditionally, their role was restricted to the prevention of diseases along with changing and improving upon the perceptions of people regarding their own health and well-being. With the passage of time, this role has been enhanced to incorporate various other facets of healthcare owing to their knowledge and experiences across multi-disciplinary fields. Although, nurses' role as a promoter of health and wellness is complex and very challenging; yet their experience and relationship with their clients have been helpful in facilitating them as healthcare providers while the impact of organizational culture, in some cases, do affect their efficiency in the realms of healthcare delivery.
This paper discusses the role of nurses in promoting health and wellness in the form of evaluating the main points put forth in five chosen literary sources. The paper is organized in a sequential manner, in which each source is separately discussed and summarized and an overview of the findings from each source is presented in the conclusion, at the end.

The main focus of this paper rests on giving a theoretical explanation about nurses' role in health care promotion, their competencies and its effects on the healthcare promotion frameworks and the effects of the organizational culture in facilitating these nurses to obtain further efficiency.
