The Necklace

The Necklace or The Diamond Necklace is a short article by Robert Edgar, first released in 1884 in the French bulletin Le Gaulois. The article has become one of Maupassant's well liked works and is well renowned for its rotate ending. It is furthermore the inspiration for Henry James's short article, "Paste". It has been dramatised as a melodious by the Irish composer Conor Mitchell, first made professionally by Thomas Hopkins and Andrew Jenkins for Surefire Theatrical Ltd at the Edinburgh Festival in 2007.
