The whole society has been depicted of increasing drug use. The issues that are being created no matter whether they are new or the old ones have a considerable impact on the conduct of the society. These trends give rise to a number of drug panics. A number of claims that are made by consumers or other professionals during these fear times are often not up to a mark that any conclusion about the moral panic of these drugs can be made. In United States, one of the most popular moral panics is over the drug methamphetamine. A debate about the myths and facts associated with the drug become a part on every medical debate. This research a number of researches addressing the moral panic over meth by criticizing this topic because of the point that, although, a number of researches had been conducted but a number of them did not prove the myths that are being famous about the topic. The clear understanding of the issue as well as, the lift of panic in the moral network is required so as to support this ethical anxiety.

Drug addiction might also be due to a number of everyday life problems people use to face like stress, anxiety, unemployment, poverty etc. The use of drugs, its addictiveness and abuse, can never be assumed to be constant. It varies from individual to individual. If a drug a person taking is creating hurdles in his everyday life, then the chances are more that the individual will have a drug addiction problem. This addiction is based on a number of factors like family history, mental disorders, smoldering or injecting of a drug.
This paper aims at analyzing the moral dread that is being created by one of the drug methamphetamine commonly used as an appetite suppressant. These moral panics are a debatable issue of the present time and thus a number of views have been put into light in the current scenario.
