Introduction

The media is considered as the fourth organ of the state. There are many responsibilities of the media. Media is mainly divided into print media and electronic. The major duty of the media is to inform the people. It informs the people about all the latest happenings around the world. Media also forms the opinion of the people by commenting on certain issues. Many news channels and newspapers today are involved in the dissemination of information to the masses. As the number of news channels and the newspapers, all around the world has increased so the competition among the different channels and the newspapers has also increased (Dawkins & Lewis, 2003). Due to this immense competition, most of the news channels try to overcome each other. In this process they often act unethically which also impacts the opinion of the people. Similarly, there has also been incidents of biasness by the media.

Media is regarded as a very important institution as it disseminates all the important information to the masses. Media has also become very powerful over the years. It can easily mould the opinion of the people in any way it likes. Although media has great responsibility but it sometimes misuses its responsibility (Graber, 1997). There have been many incidents reported in the past that reveal that media has been involved in the unethical practices. One of the ethical issues related to media is that misinterprets the true facts. The media channels due to competition even presented the cylinder blasts as the bomb blasts. Also.
