Technological progress has completely changed modern dentistry. Doctors around the world are made crowns, using laser scanning and computer design. Lasers are powerful and effective tool to combat the various pathologies. The use of lasers in dentistry opens up new possibilities, allowing the dentist to offer patients a wide range of minimally invasive and virtually painless procedure that meet the highest standards of clinical dental care. The use of laser technology in dentistry allows the dentist to use during treatment extended range of procedures and implement better and more comfortable treatment (Fejerskov, 2008). Lasers are used to control inflammation and pain in the mouth, and to stabilize the chronic periodontal infections. New materials, tools and equipment made more effective restorative dentistry, aesthetic, minimally invasive and enjoyable practice. Thus in this paper I am going to evaluate the Laser Fluorescence for Detection of Caries since detection and treatment of caries is the most important task of the dentist.

The diagnosis of dental caries does not remain a challenge, as its prevalence and patterns have changed much in recent years. Today one of the best ways to look for decay is the laser fluorescence of caries. Laser fluorescence has been used to aid in the diagnosis of caries. All this is important to know because the Dentistry has changed significantly since born as a profession. Traditional methods of detection of caries is well entrenched in the dental school courses. Sensing, visual inspection and X-ray are the traditional methods of diagnosing potential caries. The laser provides more options for the treatment of caries preventive programs. The detection of these bacteria has made remarkable difference in comprehensive patient care. Early detection often facilitates effective control of caries. Although the tooth may look healthy on the surface, under the same condition, especially in the case of the fissure caries is often difficult to detect.
