Introduction

The purpose of this study is to expand the boundaries of our knowledge by exploring some relevant facts and figures relating to the current state of women's leadership in the United States. The widespread belief that women are more liberal than men, that they are willing to help, devoted to others, empathic, guardians etc, not necessarily match their preferences and individual predisposition. Men, in turn, are seen as strong, dominant, aggressive, ambitious, possessing leadership qualities. It has been said that women in business are more docile than men, emotional and extremely gifted in the area of interpersonal activities. Women's leadership, therefore, is an action that includes feelings, attitudes, interests and values. But also involves human relationships, because for a person to be a leader there must be a group of people who follow her, trust her, to feel encouraged, supported and understood by her. The leadership effectiveness is determined by using a management style in a specific situation. The modern manager's job is to observe the systemic organizational and situational variables of the environment to develop methods to promote the effectiveness of its leadership, that is to say, its power to influence other positively (Morden, 1990). As mentioned previously, it is not certain that the same management style produces the same effects in different situations. The question now is whether women use their influence in the same way as men. In the next section, the author will analyze the state of women's leadership within the Military. The author will examine possible causes of gender inequity within Women in the Military. Finally, the author will propose innovative solutions for existing barriers to leadership roles for women within Women in Military discipline.

Discussion

The status of Women's leadership in United States

In United States, the tendency to increase the proportion of women in managerial positions is growing with each passing year. This is facilitated by factors such as greater diligence, discipline and desire to develop in this direction. The presence of competition and constant comparison with male colleagues, making them more responsible approach to the conduct of their mission, which ultimately leads to higher results, and this in turn leads to greater confidence on the part of the head and the more rapid career advancement and achieve leadership positions in a shorter period of time. In fact, it does not matter whether the director has high heels and trendy mini-skirt. The main thing is that the firm has worked successfully. Last year alone, the percentage of women who came to or appointed to leadership positions has increased by 42%, in particular, women CEOs has increased by 21% and women CFOs by 60%. The proportion of women in positions of chief accountant, directors, staff and marketing has also remained on the higher side (Vinkenburg, 2011).
