Psychoanalytic Approaches to Personality
Psychoanalytic personality theory defines that within the limitation of civilized society the how human beings manage their aggressive and sexual instincts. For Freud, the personality is divided into three levels or strata: the id (), ego (I) and the super-ego (superego). Each has a role and develops in a different phase of our development.
