The reason of this study is to discover the development and institutionalisation of enterprise report, and its significances for management. For this reason the study investigates the association between institutionalisation of ethics, value of work life (QWL), and worker job-related conclusions in the Thai work place.

8. The Context(s):d

In order to understand how business report has changed and how it transforms relations between business, media and society, we have chosen an institutional perspective as our point of departure. This perspective emphasizes that social actors and relations are institutional constructs, and looks at the way particular constructs appear and spread as part of the institutionalization of particular schemes of meaning. Recent institutionalist research in organization and management studies has highlighted the role of the media in the expansion of management knowledge (e.g. Sahlin-Andersson & Engwall, 2002). In the present study, we will focus on the institutionalization of business report not just as a carrier of management knowledge (e.g. popular models of management), but as a specific kind of management knowledge that interacts with management practice in particular ways with possible important implications for business, media and ...
