The movie “The Innocents” is made on the basis of the novel of Henry James, “The turn of the screw”. The director and producer of the movie is Jack Clayton. This horror film has achieved its effects through lighting, conventional shocks and music. Its cinematography is done by Freddie Francis who had employed great focus and minimal lighting to the movie. This horror fiction movie has been a graceful piece of work for all the film makers. The film revolved around a story of Flora and Miles, two orphan children, who were being hired the governess, Miss Giddens, to raise the children. At her arrival she came to notice that former governess Miss Jessel's spirits were possessed by the children. She decided to help the children by helping them to face and exorcise the spirits.

The Innocents is an adaption from “The turn of the screw” a wonderful novel written by John Mortimer. This director of the movie is Jack Claytonamong ghost stories it a subtle unit. The cinematography of the story is extremely lovable for the viewers that almost aches the eyes to render in color.

The viewers are in a delicate state of vagueness through the story to make a conclusion that whether ghosts are real or if the governess is playing with conception of her own by looking at the children actions.

The plot of the story starts with Miss Giddens acceptance to a position as a governess of the two orphan children namely Flora and Miles who are brother sister to each other. She sighted great apparitions and came to notice that the former governess Miss jessel and her lover Quint were the ghosts. Miss Jessel was often beaten by Quint and she often enjoyed it. Giddens started to believe that ghosts of these two lovers have ensighted among the two children and through that these ghosts are going to reunite and came close again. She made an assumption of such thing by looking at the cruel games that the two children often play to enjoy. She assumed that children could not notice the existence of ghosts inside them. Miss Giddens decided to plan that she will find some to help the two children by making them realize that they were under the control of the two ghosts and these two ghosts were going to harm them to meet again.
