Background of the study
Overweight and obesity have become key challenges for public health in UAE. A growing number of women, youngsters, and adults are overweight in the United Arab Emirates. As a result of that trend, public communication on this issue has increased in the last years. The dependency of the UAE women on the home maids decreases the physical activity and results in increased BMI.
Rationale of the Study
The hypothesis proposed by researcher is based on interrelation between Emeriti women dependency on home maids and their physical health, as it is a factor responsible to induce weight gain and elevated BMI. This problem statement requires answering as: if the existence of obesity in the UAE women prevails due decreased physical activity. Is it due to dependence on the home maids?
Aims and Objectives The study aims to determine the positive relation between the raised trend of home maids per household and its relation with increased BMI. It also aims to analyze the difference in the levels of physical activity of Emeriti women with or without presence of home maids. The research in this paper is based on the overall studies and literature reviews to calculate body mass index (BMI) and the levels of physical activity in women age below 18 years of age. It also determines the number of home maids on the house hold and estimation of their reliance on them. The study also involves the statistics to further expand the description about the BMI in UAE women and home maids.
Methodology
This research paper is based on the collection and analysis of secondary research sources. The secondary resources will be used in order to find the answers of research questions. The research has first presented a review of different secondary resources in the literature review section. These sources will be evaluated in order to reach at a conclusion.
Research Methodology
The research methodology adopted for this research is qualitative research methodology. The qualitative research methodology has been adopted in order to carry out a subjective analysis of the topic.
Discussion of Sources
In order to carry out research on the impact of home maids in the elevation of BMI and potency to develop obesity in UAE women due to lack of physical activity, different resources will be utilized. The research will explore news, research projects, articles, and dissertations.
