Introduction

Public schools in United States came into being as a way to provide literacy talents to the masses while in addition being considered the responsibilities of the separate someone states. It was to be public supported and public controlled with the curriculum being the domain of the separate someone school districts. The First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution is regularly bestowed credit to the want to keep a clear separation of church and state from the public school classroom and campus. Although this separation of church and school has mixed to some point depending on the part of the country one views at, it is vibrant and well going into the 21st Century. The 60's fetched a decade of independence and more school districts did away with any attempt to teach ideals and character in their public school curriculum. Teachers were demanded to stay strictly on content and stay away from teaching learners how to conduct or act. To other people, it was the demise of the primary purpose for publicly supporting education in the United States to promote responsible citizens.  

Hidden Curriculum

There are two curriculums encountered on most public school campuses the overt curriculum which spells out what is being lectured and when it is being lectured from a content standpoint. This curriculum is the one most of us are very apparent with. It describes the mathematical, science, terminology artist's creations, and social research outcomes and maps those outcomes to the specific level stage in which they will be taught. This curriculum is commonly mandated by the separate someone state's departments of education. The "hidden" curriculum on the other hand is not somewhat so public and clear.
